While we know Cloud Native involves containers, clusters and microservices and IT IS a technical solution to business innovation, we also know it’s so much more than that.

Challenge:
Cloud Native. Is it a term? A technology? A philosophy? A way of working? A super tool?
With a term so new, niche and nebulous, we realised that no one really had a clue about it.

The Problem?
As a term and practice, ‘Cloud Native’ was a new thing in the tech industry. It was either misunderstood or not known about at all.
The bigger problem?
It was the core of Container Solutions’ offerings - which meant before we could sell, we needed to do a big education job. An education job that was not only informative, but memorable.
Idea:
With some of the world’s leading cloud native engineers and thought leaders, we had always been in a position to push the industry forward. So we decided to build a brand that was an extension of who we were as a company and gave us the opportunity to make content emotional, entertaining and educational (our 3Es principle).

We launched "WTF is Cloud Native?" as a monthly newsletter.
We had a new issue every month, where 8 pieces were commissioned to expand on the topic in the most fun, authentic and valuable ways - further establishing us as leaders across the industry.
Execution:
The newsletter grew into bigger brand where we tailored the content journeys based on personas and market insights. The touchpoints included webinars, eBooks, whitepapers, events (live and virtual) and incredible employee advocacy.
We used services and our values to guide the type of content we commissioned and created. Content that could educate and impact the industry on a positive way.
We created transcripts for video and recorded pieces ensuring accessibility across the globe.
